Terms & conditions
Simple, fair rules for using our website and booking your appointments.
Last updated: 4 November 2026
Part A – Website terms of use
1. About these terms
This website is run by Shiny Nails Croydon, 4 Norfolk House, Wellesley Road, Croydon CR0 1LH (Shinynails4@gmail.com). By using the website you accept these terms. Please also read our privacy & cookie policy.
2. Your account
- You must be 16 or over to create an account, and give accurate details.
- Keep your password private. You are responsible for activity on your account; tell us straight away if you think someone else has used it.
- One account per person. We may suspend accounts used to abuse offers, points or referrals, or that break these terms.
3. Acceptable use
Please do not misuse the website: no attempts to hack, overload or probe it, no automated scraping, no false bookings and no unlawful, offensive or misleading content in messages, reviews or the chat assistant.
4. Content and photos
Text, designs, logos and photos on this website belong to Shiny Nails Croydon or are used with permission. You may share links and screenshots for personal use, but please do not copy our content for commercial use without asking.
5. Information on the website
We work hard to keep prices, opening hours and guides accurate, but they can change. Our articles and the chat assistant give general information only and are not medical advice. The chat assistant is automated and can make mistakes – please check anything important with the salon.
6. Links to other sites
Links to Google, Facebook, Instagram, payment providers and other sites are provided for convenience; we are not responsible for their content or policies.
7. Availability and liability
We aim to keep the website available at all times but cannot guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error-free. Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or any other liability that cannot be limited by law, and nothing affects your statutory rights as a consumer under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
Part B – Booking terms
8. Appointments
- Online bookings are confirmed instantly by email. Please check the date, time and treatments.
- Please arrive a few minutes early. If you are more than 15 minutes late we may need to shorten your treatment or offer another time.
- Walk-ins are welcome when a technician is free; a booking guarantees your time.
9. Changes and cancellations
- Cancel free of charge from My account up to 2 hours before your appointment, or call us.
- You can move an appointment yourself with Change time in My account (up to 2 hours before), or call us.
- Repeated no-shows may mean we ask you to book by phone or to pay in advance in future.
- Occasionally we may need to move an appointment (for example if a technician is ill). We will contact you as early as possible and offer another time or a full refund of anything paid in advance.
10. Prices and payment
- Prices on our price list are in pounds sterling and include any VAT that applies. “From” prices are starting prices – length, design and removal of old product can cost more, and your technician will always confirm the price before starting.
- You can pay in the salon after your treatment, or online by card through our secure payment page (where available). Online payments are processed by our payment provider; we never see or store your full card details.
- If you paid online and your appointment is cancelled within the rules above, or by us, we refund the amount paid to the original payment method, normally within 5–10 working days.
11. Health and safety
- Please tell us before your treatment about any allergies, sensitivities, skin or nail conditions, diabetes, circulation problems or pregnancy.
- We may refuse or postpone a treatment if it could be unsafe – for example if there are signs of infection, broken skin or a reaction – and suggest you speak to a pharmacist, GP or podiatrist.
- If you notice redness, itching, swelling or pain after a treatment, stop using any products, contact us and seek medical advice.
12. Vouchers and offers
- One voucher per booking. Vouchers have no cash value, cannot be exchanged for cash and cannot be combined unless stated.
- Each voucher shows its own conditions (minimum spend, expiry date, first booking only, personal use).
- If a booking that used a voucher is cancelled, the voucher becomes available again if it is still valid.
- Welcome, birthday and referral gifts are personal to the account holder and cannot be transferred.
13. Shiny Club membership
- Membership is free. Points are added after your visit is marked complete, based on the amount you paid; Gold and Diamond members receive bonus points as shown on the Shiny Club page.
- Tiers (Silver, Gold, Diamond) are based on the points you have earned. Points have no cash value and can be exchanged for vouchers as shown in your account.
- Referral rewards are given when the friend you invited completes their first paid visit. Self-referrals or duplicate accounts do not qualify.
- We may correct points given in error and may change or end the programme with reasonable notice on this website; points already earned will remain usable for at least 3 months after any such notice.
14. Aftercare, our promise and complaints
If something is not right with your nails within 5 days of your appointment (for example lifting or chipping that is not caused by an accident or by using your nails as tools), contact us and we will fix it free of charge. If you have a complaint, please speak to us in the salon, call us or email Shinynails4@gmail.com and we will reply within 5 working days.
15. Law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. We may update these terms; the version shown here applies from the date at the top of the page.
